This condition is characterized by redness and marked sweating confined to the nose and surrounding area of the face, with red papules and sometimes numerous small vesicles. It occurs most commonly in children, clearing up at puberty but in rare instances persisting into adulthood. Hellier (1937) described affected mother and daughter. Binazzi (1958) described a kindred with 20 affected members in a clearly autosomal dominant pedigree pattern.
