Popliteal Cyst

Toyama (1972) described 3 affected males, all first cousins, each in a different sibship. The relevant parents were 2 brothers and a sister, all affected. Presumably there was no consanguinity in the family. Autosomal dominant inheritance with reduced penetrance seems possible. Collaboration of a structural predisposition and repeated minor trauma may be involved in causation.
