Schonberger (1974) described severe dysphagia in father and son with multiple odontomas. An isolated case reported by Boder (1967) had the same combination. Hypertrophy of the smooth muscles of the esophagus was thought to be the cause of the dysphagia. Gorlin (1977) stated that the same family was reported by Schmidseder and Hausamen (1973).
