Clinical Features

Atwell et al. (1974) found a high frequency of unilateral or bilateral bifid or double ureter among the sibs and parents of 30 probands with this finding. When a bifid pelvi-calyceal system was included, 20 of the 30 families had affected first-degree relatives.

Inheritance

Atwell et al. (1974) noted male-to-male transmission of bifid or double ureter, consistent with autosomal dominant inheritance.
