Franceschetti (1955) described the syndrome in father and daughter. Sagging eyelids and double upper lip are features. Nontoxic goiter is a variable feature.

Parmar and Muranjan (2004) reported a 21-year-old male with double upper and lower lip, hypertelorism, unilateral ptosis, blepharophimosis, broad nose with broad nasal tip, highly arched palate, and bilateral third finger clinodactyly. The authors suggested that the features in this patient constituted a syndrome that was distinct from Ascher syndrome.
