Davis et al. (1981) reported a family in which 9 men in 3 generations presented with a slowly progressive spastic quadriparesis and varying degrees of psychomotor retardation. Both features of the syndrome were evident from early in life. None of the affected males had children. None of the carrier females showed abnormalities. The authors found no report of the same disorder.
