Anemia, Autoimmune Hemolytic

Dobbs (1965) reported brother and sister with 'Coombs positive' hemolytic anemia. Another sister seems to have died of autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Positive latex fixation, positive Wassermann test and negative T. pallidum test were found in both parents and the father had hypergammaglobulinemia. Others have reported familial autoimmune hemolytic anemia with abnormalities of gamma globulin. Toolis et al. (1977) described 2 sisters who developed the disorder at the same age.
