Lubinsky (1983) reported the cases of 3 brothers with cataracts (appearing in adolescence) and infertility. Elevated follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels suggested testicular failure. The parents were second cousins of German Mennonite ancestry. Hypogonadism and cataracts occur with several other disorders, e.g., myotonic dystrophy, which could be excluded.
