Lees et al. (1957) described a condition of absence of some or all fingernails with variable absence of some phalanges and metacarpals. A suggestion of linkage with the Lutheran locus was presented. The distinctness from the EEC syndrome (129900), which combines ectrodactyly with ectodermal abnormalities and cleft lip-palate, is problematic.
