Duarte Galactosemia
Wikipedia
The differential diagnosis for a positive newborn screening result for galactosemia, especially if based on galactose metabolite levels, includes: classic galactosemia, clinical variant galactosemia, DG, GALE (epimerase) deficiency , GALK (galactokinase) deficiency , or a false positive result. [1] There are also other rare conditions, such as portosystemic venous shunting and hepatic arteriovenous malformations, or Fanconi-Bickel Syndrome (GSDXI) that can lead to elevated blood galactose or urinary galactitol, potentially triggering an initial suspicion of galactosemia. [1] [7] If the NBS result is based only on GALT activity and not on metabolite levels then the differential diagnosis would include classic galactosemia, clinical variant galactosemia, DG, and false positive.

Abortion In South Korea
Wikipedia
First, in some cases, the Supreme Court ruled that an abortion was regarded as illegal if the fetus was diagnosed with Down syndrome . [6] Second, in regards to the third condition (when the pregnancy is a result of rape or quasi-rape), the stigma associated with rape might prevent pregnant women in South Korea from openly seeking legalization of their abortions, [6] and the legal concept of rape has limited meanings that could potentially dismiss many cases. [12] Moreover, the Mother and Child Health Act requires spousal consent in for a pregnant woman to obtain a legal abortion based on these circumstances, which might create practical complications for women to obtain legal abortions. [6] The fifth condition (where the continuation of pregnancy could potentially harm the health of pregnant women) narrows the "harm" of pregnancy to merely harm of the woman's health, ignoring the possible socio-economic reasons for which a pregnant woman might seek an abortion. [6] [12] [10] The Korean Medical Service Act (revisions in 1987 and 1994) [ edit ] The revision of the Korean Medical Service Act in 1987 prohibits medical practitioners from examining or assisting in examining pregnant women to determine the sex of the fetus. [12] [10] Further, the medical provider is banned from disclosing the sex of the fetus to the pregnant woman, members in her family, or any other people during the pregnancy. [6] [10] Although this provision does not explicitly mention abortion, it potentially prohibits sex-selective abortions that are largely the result of the preference for male children in South Korea.

Paroxysmal exertion-induced dyskinesia (PED) SLC2A1 AD ( SLC2A1 -PxMD) Paroxysmal dyskinesias Attacks: Triggered by prolonged exertion or exercise for usually 5-15 min Duration often in the range of mins (often up to 30 min) GLUT1 deficiency syndrome SLC2A1 AD Paroxysmal dyskinesias Includes a spectrum of manifestations: PED Classic phenotype w/infantile-onset epileptic encephalopathy Atypical phenotypes w/out epilepsy incl mixed movement disorders & ID or adult-onset w/minimal symptoms Episodic ataxia type 1, episodic ataxia type 2 (OMIM 108500) KCNA1 CACNA1A SLC1A3 AD Paroxysmal ataxia Brief intermittent episodes of ataxia of variable duration ADCY5 -related dyskinesia ADCY5 AD Paroxysmal dyskinesias Attacks: Involve the limbs, neck, and/or face Often exacerbated by anxiety Often also facial "twitches" Hypotonia & delayed motor milestones may be present.

Autosomal Dominant Leukodystrophy With Autonomic Disease
Gene_reviews
Adult-onset leukoencephalopathy with axonal spheroids and pigmented glia (ALSP) is an autosomal dominant adult-onset leukodystrophy caused by mutation of CSF1R . Frontal lobe syndrome and personality changes (which are not typical for ADLD) usually appear early in the ALSP disease course.

Servelhere et al [2016] studied 30 individuals and found that fatigue, pain, and depression were frequent and often severe manifestations in individuals with SPAST- HSP. Restless legs syndrome has been associated with SPAST -HSP [Sperfeld et al 2007], but this remains to be confirmed.
